From puberty on men have naturally darker skin than women. Also, women have more contrast in their facial pigmentation-- their lips and the area around their eyes are much darker than the rest. Despite Edward Cullen's manish chin, stubble, and nasty thick brows, her snow white skin and ruby red lips tell another story.

He is a gorgeous man. If you don't like his looks in this film, complain about the make up artist or director.
